Our commitment
Axia Computer Systems Ltd is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, and to protecting clients, visitors and others who may be affected by our activities. We comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all other applicable health and safety legislation.
Our responsibilities
- Assess and manage risks to health and safety arising from our work activities.
- Provide a safe working environment, including safe equipment and systems of work.
- Provide adequate information, instruction, training and supervision.
- Ensure safe working practices when our engineers work at client sites.
- Maintain safe arrangements for the use, handling and storage of equipment.
Workstations and remote working
As an office- and field-based business, we pay particular attention to display screen equipment (DSE) and workstation set-up, carrying out assessments and supporting good ergonomic practice for both office-based and remote-working staff.
Working at client sites
When working on client premises, our engineers follow both our own safety procedures and any site-specific requirements, and take care to work safely around electrical equipment, cabling and server environments.
Employee responsibilities
All employees have a duty to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others, to follow safety procedures, and to report hazards, accidents and near misses promptly so that we can act on them.
