Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy

Our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity, and to ensuring modern slavery has no place in our business or supply chains.

Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy

Our commitment

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms — including slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking — all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. Axia Computer Systems Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in our supply chains.

Our business and supply chains

We are a Watford-based managed service provider supplying IT support, solutions and cloud services to businesses across Hertfordshire, London and the surrounding counties. We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers and business partners, and we make clear our expectations of business behaviour in our relationships with them.

Our policies and standards

  • We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour or human trafficking in any part of our business.
  • We expect our suppliers and partners to hold their own suppliers to the same standards.
  • We comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and all other applicable employment and human-rights legislation.
  • All our staff are paid at least the National Minimum / Living Wage and are employed in line with UK employment law.
  • We verify the eligibility of all employees to work in the UK before employment begins.

Due diligence and risk

As part of our efforts to identify and mitigate risk, we assess our suppliers and take a risk-based approach to those operating in higher-risk sectors or regions. Where concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier to address them and, if necessary, terminate the relationship.

Raising concerns

We encourage all employees, customers, suppliers and members of the public to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains. Concerns can be reported in confidence and will be taken seriously, investigated and acted upon. No one will suffer detrimental treatment as a result of reporting a genuine concern.

Responsibility and review

Responsibility for this policy sits with the company’s management, who are committed to ensuring it is understood and followed throughout the organisation. We review this policy regularly and update it as needed. If you have any questions about our approach, please get in touch.
